Head and
Extruder

Well coordinated extrusion technology plays an important role in ensuring product quality. The extruder drive is electro-mechanical and features a speed control, for which an energy-efficient direct drive comprised of a motor and gears is used. The extruder screw and feeder zone geometry are synchronised so that many plastics suitable for blow moulding can be processed at a high melt strength, low mass temperature and with good homogeneity. Material-specific properties such as flow characteristics, the bulk density of the raw material and the temperature control were factored into the development of a blower head. Criteria such as wall thickness, the parison diameter and a uniform parison discharge speed were integrated into the design of the mono-extrusion or co-extrusion dies to cater to the articles being produced. This know-how turns the extruded parison into a brilliant container. At Bekum, you can obtain the entire production line from one source.
